About Us

On Guard Secure Homes evolved from a combination of two passions: 1) a desire to build quality homes; and 2) a desire to be prepared for whatever the future holds.

As a builder, I have always had a passion for the construction process.  I find great satisfaction in watching a project evolve--from raw materials and disorganized resources to a finished product that actually matches the vision drawn up on paper.  At the same time, I've also been facinated with current events and with trying to figure out what makes the world tick.  The more I watch, the more I realize that things can get pretty difficult for those who are not prepared for the future.

I've witnessed an interesting change over the past months and years as others seem to be getting more interested in preparedness as well.  Perhaps it's the economy, government policies, events like Hurricane Katrina or 9-11, or just a sense that something is different in the world today; but regardless of the cause, there is a tangible feeling that something is coming and we need to be ready for it.

I don't subscribe to any specific theories about what is going to happen in the coming years, months, or even weeks.  It is the uncertainty that drives me to be prepared for just about anything.  As an Eagle Scout, I learned both the high price as well as the rewards of being prepared.  I'm the kind of person who when I go camping, my pack weighs twice as much as anyone else's (just ask my scouts).  I do this because I want to make sure that not only am I ready for anything, but that I can also help others who might not be as well prepared.

I'm now at a point in my career where I can do the same thing with your home.  Not only do I understand how to build a safe and secure home, I also know how to make it a well-prepared home.  To me, its not just a job--it is something I love to do.

We won't try to scare you into buying a product or service.  Like many of our clients and customers, we have faith in a higher power and we don't believe that fear should be a primary motivation in life.  But, it is that faith that leads us to do everything we can to be prepared and to help others to be prepared as well.  Let us help you make your home a refuge--like a house built upon a rock, able to withstand the figurative and literal storms of tomorrow.
